What happened to Air.ai?

Air.ai marketed AI agents for 10–40 minute cold sales calls at $25K–$100K upfront licenses. Public reporting through 2024 and 2025 documents customer-harm allegations, refund disputes, and executive controversy; our reviewer panel reports the product is unusable. We include the entry for completeness — teams evaluating cold outbound voice should look at category alternatives.

Air.ai marketed AI agents that hold 10–40 minute cold sales calls with strangers and reportedly charged $25,000–$100,000 upfront licenses. Public reporting through 2024 and 2025 documents a pattern of customer-harm allegations, executive controversy, undelivered product, and ultimately what reads as a retirement of the product line. Our reviewer panel reports the product is unusable in its current state.

We include Air.ai for completeness — buyers comparing voice AI options will see Air's name in older content and need to know its current status. Our rating reflects the documented customer experience, not the product's marketing promise. Teams evaluating cold outbound voice should look elsewhere; we link to category alternatives below.

Avoid — extensively documented pattern

Public reporting through 2024 and 2025 documents the same pattern of unfulfilled licenses and customer harm allegations. Our experience matched. Including for completeness so other buyers dont repeat it.

Product reportedly retired

By late 2025 the product was effectively retired. Any team's still considering Air.ai for a 2026 evaluation should look at the active vendors in this category instead.

Paid the license, never got the product

We paid a high five figure license fee in 2024 expecting the marketed product. What we received was a fraction of the promised capability and support went dark within a quarter. Recovering even partial value took months of escalation.

Is this even a real company? Not legit

Verified

There's no support at all and it's full of bugs. Doesn't even look like it functions properly. Not even sure if it's a legit company. I think this is the first time I've ever been scammed in my life. Writing this review to hopefully help someone else before they waste their money on a software that doesn't work and service that is non existent.

They lied

Verified

I paid them $10,000. Requested a refund within the first week. This was June 2024. They said they would 100% refund me after my 6 month contract was done. Waited 6 months for my refund and then the CEO emailed me saying they need 12 months more to get the money. Now he’s ignored my emails for 6 weeks without a reply. Very scammy.

The owners Caleb Maddix and Ryan…

The owners Caleb Maddix and Ryan O'Donell are LIARS and THIEVES. They stole over $6000 from me, agreed to refund it, and never paid a cent back... total scammers. Need jail time for FRAUD.

Frequently asked questions

Buyer questions about Air.ai, answered against our reviewer set.

Is Air.ai still operating?

Public reporting and our reviewer panel both indicate Air.ai is no longer recommended for active evaluation. We list the entry for completeness because older content still references the product; we do not recommend it for new deployments.

Why does Air.ai have a 1.0 rating?

The rating reflects documented customer experience, not the product's marketing promise. Public reporting through 2024 and 2025 documents a pattern of refund disputes, executive controversy, and undelivered product. Our reviewer panel corroborates the pattern.

What are alternatives to Air.ai for cold outbound voice?

For developer-owned cold outbound, Bland and Retell are the typical alternatives. For revenue-team-owned inbound conversion, Thoughtly is the equivalent. We surface category alternatives at the bottom of every retired-vendor page.
